Anaerobic Digestion |

Valbio provides global waste water and waste treatment plants using anaerobic digestion in which effluents and waste are transformed into renewable energy (biogas). Methacore TechnologyValbio's Methacore is an anaerobic granular sludge (fluidized bed) AD system designed for the treatment of liquid effluents with high soluble organic content. It operates in a range of temperatures; hydraulic retention times are short (1 to 5 days) compared to conventional infinitely stirred AD systems. The experts at Valbio have optimized the Valbio Methacore technology to achieve high abatement performance (COD & BOD removal rates) as high as 98%. The production of sludge is reduced and the production of biogas increased while the consumption of chemical reactants and the manpower required for operation and maintenance are minimized.
ASIST TechnologyValbio's ASIST system is a sequential free bacterial growth infinitely stirred anaerobic technology designed for the treatment of effluents with a higher dry matter content such as municipal sludge, sludge from the ICI (industrial, commercial and institutional) sector, municipal solid waste (MSW), etc. In combination with technologies which condition the organic matter to be digested, Valbio’s infinitely stirred ASSIST technology provides superior abatement performance, 10% or more, compared to most infinitely stirred systems deployed.
Portfolio of AD TechnologiesValbio masters and offers a portfolio of AD technologies; Valbio can hence propose integrated solutions which combine the Valbio Methacore and ASIST technologies. As a result, the investment is optimized and the production of biogas maximized as a function of the effluents, sludge and other organic residues available on-site. The system available at Tyras cheese plant in Greece is an example of such an integrated approach. |
